I drew from my old beaten shoes. For this haiku, the shoes must be the ones with shoelace. The shoelace seems to symbolize the ups and downs of one's life.
Shoes are interesting subject, it makes you think a lot of things.
In this haiga, I tried to emphazise "still" by making the floor grid like, placing the shoes at a corner, and calmly spot-lighted it.

Thanks for your explanation. It's nice to visualize your work process. Shoes are strange things, the way the laces fall with a kind of sadness when they are undone.
