Haiku by William J. Higginson (USA). Artwork by myself.
I think Higginson san was a born educator. For a while we exchanged emails, and his replies were always wordy, not in a bad sense, but in a good educational way. I made several haiga for his haiku including that of
Alamo. For this haiku, which I feel is one of his best, I first sketched with a pencil my own hand ( I am left-handed so I drew my right hand). Then I digitized the sketch, played it around some to get the feel of a hand being immersed in the water.
