Haiga 806 - Light Haiku 17
Haiku by Taneda Santoka (Japan). Artwork by myself.
Shoji, or paper screen door, functions as window as well as wall in Japanese and Korean traditional house. The house I lived in my childhood, which no longer exists, had a lot of shoji, and I used to see light seeping through the paper, greenish in spring and summer days, warm colors in autumn, and just silver light in winter as in this haiga.
Santoka, born as a rich kid, left everything and started wandering, writing haiku. The less you have material possession, the more you seem to appreciate god-provided things like air, water, light, and stillness.
