Years ago, I used parts of this haiga image for a haiku by Patricia Prime, which goes "green hillside / the cable car descends / to the city". When I made the image, the hillside of Kobe, my childhood home, became a hint. It had a cable car on its side.
The city of Kobe was devastated by severe earthquake a little less than 20 years ago. HIghways, buildings, and houses (including my brother's church) became crumbles instantly. More than 3000 precious lives were lost.
Looking at the image now, the idea of rebirth came to my mind. I wrote my own haiku. I then added the sky and the verse to it.
