Thanks for your comments. In olden days, haiku was enjoyed in various forms; many haijin (haiku poets) wrote haiku, added small paintings (haiga), and embedded haiku in short prose (haibun). This practice seems popular among haijin in the world now. However, in Japan, the practice has waned. It is my wish to revive it, so more people, including the young, will find interest in this tradition.

I learned about haikus few years ago and started writing them recently. It just came to me to add a picture to the haiku, I really don't know why.
