Haiku by Anya of the USA.
Anya-san was among the first haiku people I got to know when I started writing haiku of my own.
I wrote my first haiku in English, and started to submit my haiku to online haiku magazines like Heron's Nest, Asahi Haikuist Network, Mainichi Daily, and so forth.
I learned from foreigners how to write haiku, my native tradition. Interesting.

(A St Patrick's Day haiku just for you from Jack Kerouac. The 17th March is a traditional lots of drinking and big party day in Dublin, Ireland and wherever in the world an Irish person happens to be. I am Welsh, just like Ireland's St Patrick. Yes, it's all very confusing... I agree!)
Love the Kerouac beer haiku.
I more or less know how the drinking is like for the Irish, for I read some books by Frank McCourt, books like "Angela's Ashes" and "'Tis"
