Haiga 394

Haiku by Kanon Sakaishi. Mrs. Sakaishi has been reading haiku of moon daily these days, and email them to me. From the batch, I made a haiga.

A bottle to which
emptiness becomes,
16th moon night

This haiga reminds me that we are all empty containers ...
and the delay ...
until the container is broken ... and then we will be otherwise.

thanks Kuni-san, since you've completed 0 years, you find even more great beauty.

The image is very fine, unless I do not understand the haiku. Perhaps a question of translation? Perhaps: a bottle which becomes emptiness ...

Best wishes

The translation is more or less correct. The original haiku say that the haijin found an empty bottle and somehow felt that the emptiness fits so well with the bottle itself. She probably did not feel the same with other bottles, but strangely she did to this particular bottle. Interesting.
