I'm guessing you meant for the post to be taken as a whole--the Yosemite site in photo, painting, and words sustainable. I wonder if "You are here" is sustainable, if we are not mountains?
Beautiful photo and painting. Humans and corporations only think they own a part of it. I believe the land belongs to itself. It generously shares with us and in a perfect world, we would be respectful in return. This post shows its beauty. Loved it.
I like to think that state and national parks are protected from interference regardless of the wealth hidden beneath them or growing on them. Sadly there are often persuasive arguments for their use for profit.

A fine mix of image and word...the mistake is in thinking we own the world i suppose..
Such a question has been asked for a long time. But beauty needs not care.
We must all respect the natural territories I believe, as a whole...The beautiful image must remain for other generations to also paint!

County or country? How indeed!! I totally agree. We are stewards of the land, but that implies a caring that doesn't necessitate ownership.
How true! This reminds me so much of Chief Seattle's wise words:
"Humans merely share the earth. We can only protect the land, not own it."
