Haiga 448 Masaoka Shiki haiku

Haiku by Masaoka Shiki. Artwork by myself.
The photo shows a baseball ground Shiki might have played.

a lovely collection here Kuni-san :)

i especially liked "sretching my hands into ether"....and then it struck, in a way it matches with today's playing catch -- yet this one is very spring-like and the other very winter-like --

wishes,
devika

Shiki, because he died so young, tend to be seen as somekind of tradegy hero. He suffered pains, yes. He was bed-ridden, yes. But at the same time, he seemed to enjoy his predicament. I admire people like that.
