Haiga 766 -Water Haiku 3

Haiku by Chiyoni Fukuda (Japan). Artwork by myself.
Chiyoni was a nun and a haiku poet of Edo period. Her haiku teachers were Basho's students so her haiku was greatly influenced by Basho style. This haiku here is the best known one in Japan, probably every school children know it.

I got an email informing me that I have been awarded a Finalist Prize at this digital art contest. The prize is given to my haiga ebook, "Oku no Hosomichi Picture Ebook"(Narrow Road of Deep North by Basho).
I have added the Basho ebook to SHH bookstore list (see KUNI'S LINKS on the right side of this blog page).
