Haiga 820 - Elizabeth St-Jacques haiku

Haiku by Elezabeth St-Jacques. Artwork by myself.

In Japanese haiku, there is an expression "mountains laugh". It is a kigo for spring. I could not appreciate it until I saw a sight of mountains one spring day.
Trees were capped with light green of new leaves, and they popped up here and there on the side of a mountain. They looked like the kind of smiling eyes and eyebrows children would like to draw, in a cartoon manner. The mountain was indeed laughing.
